The population of Moldova is roughly over three million people. The country has a various amount of languages spoken. The most popular language is Moldovan/Romanian. Depending on the various villages and towns, some people speak Russian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Gagauz.
The gender roles in Moldova are what is common today in the United States. According to everyculture.com, "Women in both urban and rural areas carry the burden of domestic duties and child care in addition to working outside the home." There is also a high need to preserve foods and can them during the summer, in order for each family to have food in the winter. There is no restrictions for women getting any high position, but some women choose to stay in their desired fields. Men in Moldova are very respectful to the women in working fields. Women organize the events for their companies when needed. The men provide for their families, as well as the women. It is important that the men have they want in their field. I think that this is great that men and women are equal in jobs and roles. The basis of a country having equal opportunity, unless stated otherwise in the job descriptions is important. I believe that it helps the people of Moldova at exceeding in their economy, homes, and work life. I learned a lot from people in Moldova, and I am happy I got to see everything first hand.
